This week I am so honored to share that Hope*Books just published and released my first children’s book.   Honestly, it doesn’t even seem real yet, but here it is:  The One Who Created.   This is the first in a series of children’s books about the Lord, THE ONE.  The three books are The One Who Created, The One Who Promised and The One Who Loved.

This dream started five years ago, after I retired from teaching in the public school.  I loved my middle school job, but felt a nudging from the Lord that at retirement my “teaching” would take on a different role.  This may be my favorite job yet….getting to share faith- based ways to use books with our kids.  Step One was building a website with a theme:  BOOKING TIME WITH KIDS. 

Step two was developing ideas and sending out a weekly blog with how we can use books to teach faith and point our littles to Jesus.

Step three was getting the first children’s book published.  This has taken quite some time, along with perseverance through significant setbacks.  But, thank you, Jesus, for providing the right people, support and encouragement, at just the right times.

It’s s a simple story of truth, told in English and in Spanish, of “the One” who created the world around us and everything in it.  It’s what I hope our littles start to understand at a young age-  that they are fearfully and wonderfully MADE.  Made and loved.  With purpose and intent.  By the Creator of the universe.

    your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
